Our dei mission

We have a responsibility for everyone’s voice to be heard and given the proper resources to thrive in their role here at Terp Thon. Our intentional efforts have the opportunity to enhance our movement and allow us to create a community that reflects our goals.  To open this door, we must continue to grow and learn to create diverse, inclusive, and equitable space for all students, families, alumni, and volunteers. Illness and injury impact every family, child, and background. Our efforts are allowing children equitable access to a healthy life every person deserves to experience. We should all be allies for one another both inside and outside of our organization. It is important for us to listen to each other’s experiences and perspectives in order to move forward together and accomplish our goals.

DEI chair

Callie Conley

Hello! My name is Callie Conley, and I am the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) chair for Terp Thon 2024. This year, I aim to make everyone feel like they have a home in our organization. As DEI chair, I am responsible for ensuring every student feels seen and heard when interacting with our organization and equipping them with the resources they need to succeed. I will also work to improve accessibility and our organization's representation of the diverse student body at the University of Maryland. I am looking forward to working with you! Please get in touch with me if you have any questions or concerns.
