Samerya is a 13 year old with big dreams of becoming a nurse when she grows up! Samerya’s aspiration comes from all the positive care she received from the nurses at Children’s National Hospital filled with love and support. Samerya has Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS)/Nephrotic syndrome, a form of kidney disease that prevents her body from breaking down proteins, and has been treated at Children’s National. Fun fact! Samerya was chosen to be one of ten Children’s Miracle Network 2019 National Champions! She loves to watch the Food Network and her favorite color is yellow.
