Ependymoma
While away at Ocean City for a family weekend trip, five month old Trevor started to exhibit his first symptoms. After visiting the ER for what initially was thought to be the stomach bug, he was flown to Children’s National Hospital where he was diagnosed with ependymoma. He had a brain tumor the size of a tennis ball that was sitting on his occipital lobe. After fighting through a brain resection and six months of chemotherapy, in January of 2012, an MRI showed he was cancer free! Trevor is now 13 years old and enjoys attending Terp Thon events with his siblings! He is an active and cheerful teen who loves running around and keeping up with his older brother.
