Terp Thon’s Day of Miracles is a tradition at the University of Maryland where students set out to unite their campus together and raise money for Children’s National Hospital. This event is held from 12pm on November 12th through 12pm on November 13th and Terp Thon will strive to raise $52,000 to fight for the number of positive COVID-19 cases in children in the Maryland and D.C. area. All funds raised immediately go towards Children’s National Hospital’s COVID-19 Emergency Action Fund to respond to the urgent need caused by the pandemic. As the state of Maryland’s largest student-run philanthropy, Terp Thon recognizes how important philanthropy is to keep ahead of the crisis.
