Mariana

Little sister
Loves to color
Received care from neonatal intensive care unit
As a newborn, Mariana had trouble breathing. Children’s National Hospital’s rapid
helicopter transport service, SkyBear, rushed her to Children’s National. She received
care in our neonatal intensive care unit for a month.
Today, at age 4, Mariana loves to color, look at books and dance ballet. “She giggles all
the time,” says her older sister, Gabriela. “I’m grateful for everyone at Children’s
National. I have my little sister because of that place.”
